Escola Mas Casanovas

Escola Mas Casanovas is a public educational center located in Barcelona, in the Horta-Guinardó district. It provides early childhood education, with two cycles (0-3 and 3-6 years), and primary education (6-12 years). The vehicular languages are Spanish, Catalan, and English. The early childhood education stage is called El Petit Mas.

The center has a dining service, whose two spaces have been remodeled during the summer. The new 'Espai de Migdia' incorporates noise absorption panels and furniture with chromatic tones. A pedagogical project is being implemented that promotes the autonomy and self-regulation of students, both in setting the tables and in food portions, with constant coordination between the monitoring team and the teaching staff. The school has a library and organizes celebrations and nature camps. It also promotes the digital school magazine Mas Report, where fifth and sixth-grade students act as main writers, photographers, editors, and proofreaders, although all classrooms can publish news and articles. This magazine is part of a media literacy program for school magazines by Junior Report, aimed at fostering critical thinking and working on language skills based on current topics and the local environment. Since February 2025, the center has air conditioning in indoor spaces, allowing for moderate and suitable temperatures for learning and coexistence during the warmest and most humid weeks.

The school uses the Innovamat program for mathematics, with resources for families. It offers secondary school pathways and maintains a website with information about its history, team, location, external services, educational project, and resources for families. It has an AFA (parents' association) and a School Council, and provides annual and activity calendars, circulars, authorizations, as well as information about the dining space and menu.
