Escola Bressol Xarlot

The Escola Bressol Municipal Xarlot is publicly owned and offers first cycle early childhood education (0-3 years) in Catalan. It is located in the Carmel neighborhood, in the Horta-Guinardó district of Barcelona. Its hours are from 09:00 to 17:00. It has over thirty years of experience in educating children aged 0 to 3 years. In the 1999-2000 school year, it moved to a new building next to the Escola Institut Mirades (formerly Escola Taxonera), which improved its spaces and facilities. It is a school open to the neighborhood, coordinating with other institutions, entities, and services, and participating in projects and networks related to education. It is also a training school and hosts students from different centers. The relationship between family and school is considered important, and the AFA and the School Council promote family participation. The center is part of the 0-18 Network of public schools in the Horta-Guinardó district.
