Cee La Ginesta

CEE La Ginesta is a public special education center located in the Montbau neighborhood of Barcelona, in a natural environment. Its educational offer is organized into a school stage, which includes early childhood and primary education, as outlined in the start-of-year letters addressed to the families of both stages. The center complements its proposal with a transition program to adult life and an individualized support plan.

Among its services and facilities, it has a school cafeteria and menus, a library, and a school radio, Ràdio Ginesta. The center maintains regular communication with families through service information, the calendar, and start-of-year letters.

Throughout the year, the center develops various projects and activities. Some groups engage in physical education in the gym and the sports center of CEM Mundet. It also carries out a gardening project, sewing workshops in which it has participated in the project of les lletres de Rita, and carpentry work. Other projects include the Barris project, with visits to the neighborhood of a classmate, and the Festes i Tradicions de Catalunya project, in which capgrossos have been built. Students in the basketball elective prepare for events organized by CEEB. The center also celebrates Sant Jordi, with stalls set up by students and family visits, and organizes camps, once in Vilanova de Sau.
