Llar D'infants Rodona

La Llar d'Infants Pública Municipal Rodona is a publicly owned center dependent on the City Council of Barberà del Vallès. It caters to children from the first cycle of early childhood education (0-3 years) and conducts its activities in Catalan. The center supports young children in their initial learning and the creation of their first bonds, and facilitates the adaptation process for both children and their families, understanding the entry into the llar as an opening to a new environment.

Among its proposals stands out an intergenerational project that brings young children closer to elderly people. As part of this initiative, the center has received visits from the senior choir of Barberà, which sang songs and allowed children to play the keyboard, move, and dance to the rhythm of the music, as well as a group making handmade items for playtime. Additionally, families participate in the life of the center by coming to tell stories to the children, an activity that strengthens the bond between family and llar and awakens a love for reading from affection.

Movement occupies a central place in the daily life of the center, based on the idea that a child who moves is a child who learns. Free movement is understood as the main way to explore the world in the early years, allowing children to gain autonomy, know their own bodies, and develop thinking. Children have access to spaces and elements such as wooden modules and slides for crawling, maintaining balance, taking their first steps, or climbing, experiences that support play, exploration, and learning throughout the year.
