Nen Jesús De Praga

Nen Jesús de Praga is a secular semi-private school in Badalona, located in the Dalt Vila neighborhood, in a historical and commercial environment. Its educational offerings range from Early Childhood Education for ages 0 to 6 to Compulsory Secondary Education. The center is organized into several buildings: the Early Childhood Education for ages 0 to 3 (Petit NJ Praga) at Jacint Verdaguer street, number 2; the Early Childhood Education for ages 3 to 6 and Primary Education at Barcelona street, number 44; and the Compulsory Secondary Education at Barcelona street, number 6.

The educational project of the center is structured around personalized learning, new methodologies, and cooperative learning. It is a multilingual school that consolidates and encourages the learning of foreign languages, with English as the first language and French as the second. Additionally, non-linguistic subjects are taught in English using the CLIL methodology, such as Music, Natural Science, and Classical Culture, and an introduction to Italian is offered in Visual and Plastic Education. The center also integrates technological resources and ICT into the teaching process across all academic areas, including robotics, and promotes sports practice.

In the Secondary stage, the school works to ensure that students acquire basic competencies and a solid foundation of knowledge to face further studies. An integrative and individualized follow-up of students is carried out, addressing diversity through tutorial action and subject splits, and strategies and study techniques are provided, as well as academic and professional guidance. Student participation and commitment to self-learning are enhanced, and personal autonomy and cooperative work are promoted, especially in the preparation of Synthesis Works and Research Projects. The center also promotes the acquisition of cultural and social habits through participation in popular festivals, cultural visits, outings, excursions, and trips, and conveys values such as respect, responsibility, social commitment, justice, and equality between men and women, in addition to raising awareness about the importance of environmental preservation.
