IES LAS MARETAS

The center provides Compulsory Secondary Education and Baccalaureate, in addition to Basic Vocational Training, intermediate vocational training cycles, and higher vocational training cycles. It also has an Enclave Classroom and the Adapted Vocational Training Program for ages 16 and 21.

Academic activities are organized in the morning shift from 8:00 to 14:00 hours, and the afternoon shift from 15:00 to 21:00 hours.

The stops are Los Alonso, Los Geranios, Mercadona de Valterra, Argana Alta on Tajaraste street, Argana Alta on Tenderete street, and Maneje. Students using school transport take the bus in the morning starting at 7:20 hours.

The center participates in Erasmus+ mobility projects for its students and staff, with training and internship places for students and staff mobility in job shadowing mode. It also takes part in the co-financed measure by the European Union aimed at consolidating the Vocational Training offer in the Canary Islands.

In the indicated school year, 1st year of CFGM Installation and Maintenance – Heat Production Installations and 2nd year of CFGM Installation and Maintenance – Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Installations participate.

The center organizes a literary contest, which in one of its editions was a tribute to the figure of Federico García Lorca, and a solidarity race that has earned it recognition as a solidarity center. It also celebrates the commemoration of Europe Day and the activity called Apañada de Ciencias.
