CPEIPS SANTA MARÍA DE LOS VOLCANES

The school offers Early Childhood Education (second cycle, from 3 to 6 years), Primary Education (from 6 to 12 years), and Compulsory Secondary Education (from 12 to 16 years). It also offers English among its teachings.

The schedule is from 8:00 to 19:30 from Monday to Thursday, and from 8:00 to 14:30 on Friday. It is closed on Saturday and Sunday.

It is the model of shared work among students, teachers, and families that the school applies in an environment of trust and co-responsibility. It aims to promote self-directed learning in students, where the student defines their purpose and manages and supervises their processes based on the expected learning goals.

Teachers work in team teaching and design learning experiences with a competency-based approach, combining synchronous and asynchronous dynamics supported by platforms. Evaluation is framed as formative and includes self-assessment and co-assessment among teachers, students, and families.

The school has acquired the status of a requesting school to offer the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and aims to obtain authorization to be an IB World School.

The school installed photovoltaic solar panels in 2024 in its facilities, a self-consumption and storage project with renewable sources supported by the incentive program funded by the European Union through the NextGenerationEU Fund, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan. The school also declares a social commitment oriented towards caring for the common home, ecological justice, and the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda.
