Escola Gaspar de Queralt

Escola Gaspar de Queralt is a public center located in the municipality of Amer. It offers early childhood education (second cycle, ages 3 to 6) and primary education (ages 6 to 12), with Catalan as the vehicular language.

The center has a school cafeteria and features spaces such as a garden with a chicken coop and pond, where students conduct workshops. Among its regular activities are the celebration of Castañada, with an outing to the forest to collect chestnuts, and the Diada de Sant Jordi, which includes a trip to the town square to visit the stalls of books and roses. The upper cycle students create solidarity notebooks whose sales are donated to a foundation. The school participates in robotics fairs in the region and has a Student Council that meets periodically to make proposals.
