Lope De Vega

CEIP Lope de Vega is a public educational center in Almería that provides Early Childhood Education (second cycle) for ages 3 to 6 years, and Primary Education for ages 6 to 12 years. The center has specific classrooms and TEA classrooms, and develops a bilingual project. It maintains various blogs dedicated to areas and projects, including those for English and French, as well as a school library blog, the Biblioteca Concha Castro, and another dedicated to the center's garden.

The center continuously works on coexistence and the transformation of its spaces. During the 2024/2025 school year, it has continued its Training in Centers on coexistence and inclusive playgrounds, a project initiated the previous year with the aim of allowing all students to participate and feel part of the school. In this context, playground proposals have been expanded with a bibliopatio, a musical area, and a board games area, offering alternatives to sports play. The implementation of board games included training for teachers and the preparation of volunteer 6th-grade students as game leaders, who explain the rules and accompany their peers during recess. Students also participate through the Delegates' Boards, which meet quarterly to provide proposals for improving coexistence. Additionally, the center develops the School: Space for Peace program, with campaigns and events throughout the year, and has decorated the Steps for Peace with messages created by the students. Another notable initiative has been the rehabilitation of the school garden, carried out with the collaboration of the AMPA, which has become a space for learning and contact with nature.

Teachers and families participate in consultations and meetings on cooperative work, positive discipline, emotional education, and Universal Design for Learning (UDL). The center maintains a summer school and its own digital newspaper, La Carpeta, and has the AMPA La Arcadia, which collaborates on various initiatives.
