Compañía De María

Compañía de María is a semi-private center located in Almería that provides early childhood education, primary education, compulsory secondary education (ESO), and Bachillerato (upper secondary, ages 16–18). Its educational project, of a human-Christian nature and open to all, places the person as the central value and offers a personalized response to the needs and diversity of the students, facilitating the knowledge, skills, tools, and attitudes necessary to face the challenges of the 21st century. The center declares itself in constant pedagogical renewal and seeks harmony and balance in all dimensions of the person.

Its pedagogical proposal is based on a relationship that accompanies, integrates, and fosters growth, embracing diversity and attending to each person according to their characteristics, abilities, aptitudes, and needs. In training, the student is the protagonist of their own learning, while the teacher acts as a guide and companion in the process, enhancing autonomy and the "learning to learn". The educational task is approached in community, from a common project and with the aim of forming conscious and committed citizens. The center refers to Saint Juana de Lestonnac, founder of Compañía de María, as the origin of its educational intuition.

Among its services are the morning and midday classroom, cafeteria, concierge and reception, guidance department, secretariat, store, summer school, and the program "My school on vacation", as well as the Erasmus+ program. It organizes extracurricular activities in sports, languages, theater, and Lestonnac groups, in addition to open house days.
