Los Lápices

Los Lápices is a private nursery located in Almería, with two campuses in the city. It caters to children aged 0 to 3 years in specific classrooms, and its team consists of qualified teachers in Early Childhood Education and technicians in Early Childhood Education. The center is defined as a bilingual nursery and a center for the introduction to new technologies, working with its own play-based learning methods.

The educational project aims for children to learn and have fun in a warm, safe, and welcoming environment, positioning the center as a support for families. The introduction to the English language is approached from the early years through a formative-creative method via play, collaborating on an English learning project based on repeated listening and positive reinforcement. Regarding new technologies, the center complements traditional learning with manipulation and educational games using computers and tablets, aimed at turning devices on and off, reinforcing computer knowledge, promoting oral and written expression, developing creativity, and improving visual-motor coordination.

Among its services are a catering cafeteria, with varied, balanced menus adapted to each age and special needs such as gluten-free or lactose-free, and extracurricular activities, complemented by periodic outings to the nearby environment, such as visits to the fire station, road safety talks given by the Local Police, and procession activities. The facilities include a playground and areas adapted for rest. One of the campuses has three classrooms, a school playground, and a catering cafeteria, with restrooms adapted for all ages and an office and reception area for parent assistance; the other has six classrooms, a school playground, adjacent outdoor areas, a catering cafeteria, adapted restrooms, and also an office and reception area.
