La Bola Azul

La Bola Azul is a private nursery located in the Bola Azul neighborhood, in Almería. It offers Early Childhood Education in the first cycle (0-3 years) and second cycle (3-6 years), with a bilingual project in Spanish and English. It is a newly opened center with modern facilities: it has 300 m2 of space and an accessible outdoor patio of 180 m2. Its operating hours are Monday to Friday, from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

The educational project aims to contribute to the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development of students, respecting children's rights and attending to their well-being. The methodology is based on observation and experimentation, with children as the protagonists of their learning. Significant learning is pursued, and the principles of equality, individuality, creativity, motivation, socialization, and play are addressed, paying attention to emotional and social needs and self-esteem. The center is defined as welcoming and family-oriented, working on affection, stimulation, and personal interaction so that each child develops their own rhythms, controls their emotions, recognizes their feelings, and gains autonomy through playful and motivating activities adapted to their age. The center presents an innovative approach that incorporates bilingual and technological education.

The bilingual project is supported by a native teacher and a project mascot to introduce English in the classroom. Basic content, vocabulary from the units, and concepts from daily life such as the day, the weather, or greetings are worked on, reinforced with the Jolly Phonics teaching proposal. The language is also acquired through daily life, play, interaction with adults, daily routines, and meals, using resources such as flashcards, storytelling, puppet shows, and traditional games. Additionally, the center develops its own early stimulation project and an annual values education project titled "Stories Matter Too," which uses stories as a core element. As services, it offers morning classroom (early birds), introduction to English, playroom, socio-educational support, cafeteria, extracurricular activities, summer school, vacation periods, and tutoring.
