Alhamilla

IES Alhamilla is a public educational center under the Ministry of Educational Development and Vocational Training of the Junta de Andalucía. It offers compulsory secondary education (ESO) with a Bilingual English Program and Bachillerato (upper secondary, ages 16–18) in the modalities of Humanities and Social Sciences and of Sciences and Technology. It complements its offer with basic vocational training (FP), intermediate degree, higher degree, and in DUAL modality.

The vocational training of the center covers the professional families of Commerce and Marketing, Building and Civil Works, Mechanical Manufacturing, Wood and Furniture, and Electricity and Electronics. Within Building and Civil Works, it offers the titles of Higher Technician in Building Projects and Higher Technician in Civil Works Projects. The center maintains agreements with companies from each sector for student internships and develops initiatives such as an official welding homologation course aimed at labor insertion.

Among its plans and programs, the center participates in Erasmus+, with work visits to European centers, and has actions in the field of coexistence, such as the Peace Space and recognition of positive behaviors of students. It has an AMPA and offers companies avenues for collaboration, internships, and hiring professionals. The center is located in Almería, in the Centro-Este district.
