Calasancio

El Calasancio is a private educational center located in Almazán (Soria) that offers the first cycle of Early Childhood Education, with a two-year-old classroom, the second cycle of Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, and Compulsory Secondary Education, covering all four levels of ESO. The center works with active methodologies and cooperative learning so that students develop their intelligences and acquire competencies for the current world. Among its pedagogical approaches are the Singapore method for logical-mathematical intelligence, robotics to enhance computational thinking, and a bilingual character to improve communication skills.

The educational project of the center is oriented towards the integral development of the person, in line with the idea of educating the body, mind, and heart. In this framework, the Proyecto Ser is developed, an interiority project that seeks to educate the ability to internalize and live deeply the relationship with oneself, with others, and with nature, through routines that work on attention, listening, reflection, body awareness, and emotional self-regulation at all stages.

The center has its own plans and projects, including a coexistence plan aimed at improving relationships within the center and promoting civic values, peace, tolerance, and respect; a reading plan that seeks to improve students' reading skills and energize the library; a gender equality plan, with an open, active, and participatory methodology, that works on coeducation, inclusive language, and shared responsibility; and a digital plan Códice TIC. It has a laboratory, a psychopedagogical office, and uses both Spanish and English.
