ESCUELA SUPERIOR DE HOSTELERIA BILBAO

The Escuela Superior de Hostelería Bilbao (ESHBI) is a private subsidized and accredited center by the Basque Government, located in Bilbao. Its activity focuses on training professionals in the hospitality sector, from basic levels to specialization. Teaching is conducted in Spanish and Basque.

The educational offer includes intermediate vocational training cycles in Restaurant Services and in Cooking and Gastronomy, as well as higher degrees in Restaurant Services Management and in Culinary Management, all lasting two years. Additionally, there are one-year specialization courses with proprietary private titles: Specialist in Wines and Sommelier, Diploma in Management and Direction of Hospitality Businesses, and Specialist Technician in Sustainable Gastronomic Innovation. It also offers subsidized courses by Lanbide for workers in the sector and unemployed individuals, as well as amateur courses for cooking enthusiasts.

The center has a restaurant, La Escuela, where students carry out internships, and a gastronomic innovation laboratory (R&D+i) in collaboration with the Basque Food Laboratory. The teaching method combines individualized attention with collaborative learning organized around challenges and skills, and includes masterclasses and workshops with active professionals. The school maintains a direct link with the sector through the Bizkaia Hospitality Association. The office hours are Monday to Thursday from 8:00 to 17:00 and Friday from 8:00 to 14:30.
