Garbiñe

El Col·legi Garbiñe is a private school in Barcelona, located in the Sants-Montjuïc district, offering the second cycle of Early Childhood Education and Primary Education. The second cycle of Early Childhood Education includes ages 3 to 5 and is divided into three levels, while the Primary stage encompasses six courses. The school hours extend from Monday to Friday, from 9 to 13 hours and from 15 to 17 hours.

The center follows an eclectic methodology, incorporating contributions from various pedagogical currents, and organizes flexible and small groups to support the personal development of each student, taking into account their characteristics. The work is structured around centers of interest and the observation and discovery of the environment, with attention to the development of verbal, mathematical, artistic, and musical language. For a significant part of the schedule, two teachers simultaneously attend to the group within the classroom, allowing for more dynamic activities and providing support to those who need it. From the first day of class, students are introduced to Catalan, Spanish, and English. English is introduced from P3 through play and song as a complementary activity, and the computer science area is also taught in this language. The relationship with families is based on a close approach, with a detailed report at the end of each term and interviews throughout the course. The center values the educational needs of each student, specifies intervention proposals, coordinates with external services, and has a speech therapy service for pronunciation and diction.

The center's website includes a virtual tour, a Moodle classroom, the Alexia application for communication with families, and a space dedicated to the AMPA, as well as information about pre-registration. The center organizes a summer school with activities such as sports, crafts, cooking recipes, and water games.
