Institut Escola Turó D'en Caritg

Institut Escola Turó d'en Caritg is a public center located in Badalona. It offers early childhood education (second cycle), primary education, compulsory secondary education, and Bachillerato (upper secondary, ages 16–18). Among its services and facilities, it includes a school cafeteria, school transport, and extracurricular activities, and its linguistic offerings include Spanish and Catalan. The center has an educational project and educational guidance, and maintains a parent association (AFA).

Throughout the school year, the center develops various projects. One of them is the reading sponsorship, which connects students from different stages: older students act as mentors for the younger ones and share reading sessions with them, such as the one dedicated to the legend of Sant Jordi. Another line of work includes community service proposals that promote intergenerational exchange; in this context, second-year ESO students organized a musical bingo at the Sant Roc Senior Residence. The center has also organized a chess tournament open to ESO students and participates in the Badalona Educational Guidance Fair.

Among its initiatives is a project to promote the use of Catalan, in which sixth-grade students participate through the welcoming classroom. Additionally, the center commemorates the School Day of Non-violence and Peace with activities focused on respect, dialogue, and coexistence. Its activities are documented through the XTEC portal and its own page, where it publishes information about the pre-registration process and scholarship applications for post-compulsory studies.
