Escola Soriano Montagut

Escola Soriano-Montagut is a public center for early childhood and primary education located in Amposta. It provides early childhood education and primary education and works with Catalan and Spanish. It offers school meal services and after-school care, as well as extracurricular activities, and has a family association (AFA).

The center develops its own projects. It participates in the Magnet program and in the project "A bridge between generations," which consists of carrying out joint activities with a day center for elderly people. It has a Children's and Families Council, where delegates from each class present proposals to the management team, and projects such as "Roots and Wings," "Connect to the Circle," and "Barcelona on Demand," the latter worked on by sixth-grade students around the city of Barcelona.

In the linguistic field, the school offers workshops in English for students from third to sixth grade and organizes a reading aloud competition among third to sixth-grade classes, with a territorial phase in Tortosa. Fourth-grade students have carried out literary creation projects based on reading a story, and third and fourth graders record a monthly school news program. The school has green agents linked to the Green Schools committee and has initiated maker training and equipment, with a laser cutter, as part of the Digital Education Plan.
