Stella Maris

Stella Maris Jesuitinas School is a semi-private center located in Almería, in the Centro-Este district. It is owned by the Daughters of Jesus, a congregation with nearly 150 years of experience in the educational field that follows the educational intuition of Mother Cándida. The center offers early childhood education, both in its first cycle (0-3 years) and in the second (3-6 years), primary education (6-12 years), compulsory secondary education (12-16 years), and Bachillerato (17-18 years).

Its educational proposal is based on the pedagogical model of the Jesuitinas Foundation, aimed at integral education. The center defines the profile of the person it wants to form around three axes: autonomy, commitment, and creativity. In line with this approach, it seeks for students to develop a personal project, decision-making ability, and personal balance; to assume a commitment to others based on solidarity and fraternity; and to be able to respond to reality creatively and with openness to change. The training is complemented by an academic dimension and professional preparation to be useful in society, in coherence with a Christian life project.

Regarding services, the center has a cafeteria, morning and midday classrooms, and offers the sale of materials and books for the different stages. The school promotes multilingualism and allows students to obtain the American High School Diploma without leaving the center. Teaching is conducted in Spanish and English, with an American Curriculum.
