Ventura Rodriguez

C.E.I.P. Ventura Rodríguez is a public school in Ciempozuelos. It is the oldest educational center in the locality and has been supporting its inhabitants for over fifty years. It is a preferred center for motor students and students with TGD. It offers Early Childhood Education (second cycle), Primary Education, and ESO, with Spanish as the language of instruction, and provides cafeteria services, school transport, and extracurricular activities. Among its facilities are a library, sports hall, and five buildings: the main one, which houses the administration, secretary's office, concierge, library, and Primary classrooms; two Early Childhood buildings in the northern area; a sports pavilion next to the playgrounds; and a school cafeteria divided into two spaces for Primary and Early Childhood. It also utilizes the adjacent spaces of the pavilion that belonged to the former Emilio Muñoz Early Childhood School.

The center is named after the 18th-century Spanish architect Ventura Rodríguez, who was born in the locality. Since the 2025-2026 school year, it has been part of the STEM Centers Network of the Community of Madrid and the MentorActúa-Observa_Acción network. Within the STEM framework, it develops the Laborahuerto project, which positions the school garden as the core of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics activities. Its objectives include developing critical and creative thinking, problem-solving, autonomous and meaningful learning, teamwork, empathy, and emotional intelligence, as well as promoting scientific and technological vocations. In MentorActúa-Observa_Acción, it collaborates with CP INF-PRI Villarromana de Navatejera in León to exchange teaching observation experiences and develop joint projects. Additionally, it holds the European eTwinning Center distinction.
